"Byzantine Motifs" series of enamel pins/needleminders is inspired by the tiny decorations and ornamentations found in Byzantine manuscripts and decorative art. Many people associate knotwork with Celtic art, but it also occurs in Byzantine art in myriad forms all the way from large knotwork borders found in Byzantine illuminated manuscripts down to tiny interlacings such as this one. I've retained the lovely traditional color palette of rich red, soft blue, and celadon green for a design that will truly ornament your stitching.
